• Drew Planteen and Parker Rossow were both hit by the pitch and Spencer Knecht stepped up to the plate to score them both on his single as Groton took a 2-1 lead after one inning.
• BSC/O tied the game at two after two innings as the lead-of batter was walked and would later score.
• Groton had a big third inning. Scoring eight runs on four hits, there were five errors. Spencer Knecht had an RBI triple in that inning and Drew Planteen had a two RBI triple.
