Rossow pitches a no-hitter in Region 3B Title Game

• Groton had no trouble beating Big Stone City/Ortonville in the championship game of Region 3B that was played in Groton on Sunday. Groton won the game in four innings, 15-0.
• Groton plays Humboldt at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the first round of the state tournament in Tyndall.
• Parker Rossow faced 12 batters in the four inning game, throwing 50 pitches, striking out seven in  his no-hitter game. Groton fielded one outfield play, two infield plays, there was one fielder's choice and one Big Stone City player got on base via Groton's only error of the game. Riley Thompson never completed his at bat. During his at bat, Tony Schake stole second, then he stole third. Schake attempted to steal home, too, but during the run-down, Rossow ended up tagging him out.
