The Life of Wanda Zoellner

• Services for Wanda Zoellner, 50, of Groton will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4 at the United Methodist Church, Groton.  The Rev. Matt Richards will officiate.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
• Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
• Wanda died July 31, 2012 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND due to injuries sustained in an accident. 
• Wanda Rae was born in Rapid City on May 28, 1962 to Frances "Punch" Thompson & Gwen Houston.  She grew up in the LaPlant area, where she attended Swift Bird Boarding School.  At age 7, she moved to Rapid City and attended grade school and High School.  Wanda continued her education in Sioux

Falls.  She lived in Rapid City several years before moving to Aberdeen in 2000.  Wanda worked at the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
• On August 17, 2002 she was united in marriage with Bill Zoellner at the United Methodist Church in Groton.
• Wanda enjoyed working in her garden, camping with her family, trap shooting and hunting.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Her passion was riding her motorcycle. 
• Celebrating her life through memories is her husband, Bill; her children, Todd Jensen of Rapid City; Nicole Klemm of Rapid City; Samantha Thompson of Chesapeake, Virginia; Bailee and Tia Thompson of Groton and Christina Zoellner of Groton.  She is also survived by her father, Punch Thompson and her mother, Gwen Houston; mother-in-law, Doris Zoellner; her siblings, Roddy Thompson of Dupree; Mary Thompson of Rapid City; Tyler Thompson of Rapid City and five grandchildren:  Summer, Autumn, Christian, Impala, Kaley and many nieces and nephews. 
• Preceding her in death was her sister, Bernadine Thompson.
• Honorary Casketbearers will be all of Wanda's family and friends.
• Casketbearers will be Terrace Thompson, Lloyd Thompson, Loel Schott, TJ Davis, Joel Zoellner and Landal Leonhardt.
