• The business, owned by North Dakota-based KSLB&D, is embroiled in a court dispute with the publisher of Easyriders magazine, owned by California-based Paisano Publications, over vendor and licensing agreements.
• Paisano has sued for more than $2 million, and KSLB&D partner Scott Upton has announced plans to continue operations as the Sturgis Saloon Co.
• A judge has ordered that the establishment remain titled Easyriders Saloon until the court dispute is resolved.
• "We are grateful the court recognized our position in the lawsuit and that the Easyriders name will again be prominent for the 2012 Sturgis Rally," Paisano owner Joe Teresi said in a statement. "We are hopeful that this ruling will allow Easyriders and the owners of the Easyriders Saloon to move forward together to continue to

make the Easyriders Saloon the best spot in town to enjoy the rally."
• Both sides accuse the other of breaching a vendor agreement. Paisano contends that the saloon breached the agreement by selling vendor space for the rally on its own rather than letting Paisano handle the sales. KSLB&D says Paisano breached the agreement by failing to sell sufficient vendor space, forcing the restaurant to take on the job.
• The 23,000-square-foot facility features a restaurant, multiple bars, a stage and a third-floor private meeting and events area.
• The motorcycle rally that brings hundreds of thousands of people to the Black Hills community is next week. Upton told the Rapid City Journal that the covering put over the Easyriders sign in June will remain off during the rally, but that he still plans to defend his position.
