• Groton added one more run in the bottom of the eighth. Dalton Locke hit a single to right field and he would score on a Ryan Delzer single. It was now 12-8.
• By this time, Flandreau had run out of steam and the Groton defense put down four batters in the top of the ninth to secure the State B Title.
• Kalen Kjellsen was five for five at bat with five RBI to lead the Groton offensive.
• On the plate, Jamie Jorgensen, who came in as relief in the Corsica game, pitched all nine innings to get the win. He threw 133 pitches in the Flandreau game and 29 in the Corsica game. He struck out two Corsica batters and five Flandreau batters.
