• A pair of hits and a pair of runners is all Corsica could gather in the top of the eighth inning.
• Groton loads the bases in the bottom of the eighth and with one out, Matt Thorson would hit a sacrifice to center field to score Delzer and to give Groton a 3-2 lead.
• Corsica had a single, but the defense put away

Corsica in the top of the ninth to secure a 3-2 win and a berth in the state championship game.
• Parker Rossow pitched for seven innings, throwing 123 pitches for two walks, four strike-outs and seven hits. Jamie Jorgensen came in to pitch the last two innings.
• Groton had two hits in the game, one by Locke and one by Delzer.
