• Mears would come in to pitch for Milbank in the top of the sixth inning. Thorson would reach first on an error by the short stop, Landon Hammer, but would not score.
• Logan Lambrechts would hit a double in the bottom of the sixth for Milbank's only action in the bottom of the sixth.
• It was a one-two-three inning for Groton in the top of the seventh.
• Groton's defense stopped Milbank in the bottom of the seventh. Hammer flies out to Stanley at right field. Brock Gomer would a hit single to left field but later, he would get picked off as Jorgensen threw to Kjellsen at second to get the out. Taylor Boerger would hit a pop up near the pate and catcher Delzer would make the catch.
• Groton still has a 5-1 lead after seven innings.

• Hoglund is hit by the pitch in the top of the eighth to get on base, but would not score as the batters ground out.
• Taylor Reil would hit a single in the bottom of the eighth, but Delzer threw to Kjelsen at second as the tag team would get Reil out at second trying to steal the base.
