Ninth Inning
Thorson flys out to the right fielder. Jorgensen reaches first on an error by Hammer.  Locke hits a single to the short stop. Jorgensen scores on a Boerger's wild throw and Locke advances to third.  Delzer hits a single to left field to score Locke.  Erickson flies out to the second baseman and Delzer was forced out at first on a double play by Milbank. Groton scored two runs on two hits, there were two errors and none were left on base. Groton now leads, 7-1.

Mears, on a two-two count, singles to third. Lambrechts singles to left field advancing Mears to second. Runners at first and second with no one out. Stephan singles to left field to score Mears. Lambrechts advances to second.
Groton now makes a pitching change as Thorson moves to the mound. May goes to third, Erickson comes out, Jorgensen goes to short stop.

Hammer singles to left field advancing the runners and loading the bases. Gomer strikes out for the first out. Boerger hits a sacrifice fly to left field to score Lambrechts. Runners stay at first and second. Waletich flies out to the center fielder for the third out.
Milbank scores two runs on four hits, there were no errors and they leave two on base. Groton wins the game, 7-3. Groton will play Vermilion Saturday night at 8 p.m.
