cle the moon passes in between Libra's two brightest stars. For the next few years, though, the moon rides too far south to travel the passage between Zubenelgenubi and Zubeneschamali. The moon won't start to pass through the celestial "gateway" until 2014!
• You may need binoculars to see the star Zubenelgenubi in tonight's moonlit glare. After sunset this evening, use the moon to find Spica, the brightest star in the constellation Virgo, and the celestial Gateway in the constellation Libra!

Practiced sky watchers look for Libra to the west of the bright star Antares of Scorpius, and to the east of Virgo's bright star Spica. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons
