Jordan Lee Hanson
(June 2, 2000 - July 22, 2012)

The funeral for Jordan Hanson will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Langford Area School Gymnasium. The Rev. Charlie Bunk and Pastor Barbara Bunk will officiate.
• Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery of Langford. Lunch will be served following the internment at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Langford.
• The family requests everyone attending the service to please wear a t-shirt, jersey or clothing of their favorite sports team.
• Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Langford, with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
• Jordan died as the result of a vehicular accident on Sunday, July 22, 2012 near his rural Claremont home at the age of 12.
• Jordan Lee Hanson was born June 2, 2000, in Aberdeen,

SD to Donnell Lee and Kathy Jo (Timmermann) Hanson of Claremont. He grew up on the family farm near Claremont and attended school at Langford Area School. He had just completed the sixth grade.
• Jordan had finished his first year of confirmation at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Langford, and had been very active in the Parish League. He was very fond of the time he spent at NeSoDak Bible Camp near Waubay.
• Jordan was very athletic, and participated in football and basketball at school, and was on the Pee Wee and Midget baseball teams on Claremont. In addition to his sports interests, Jordan was also very musically inclined. He had taken piano lessons, played drums in the school band and loved to listen to his i-pod. He enjoyed playing Wii, and other video games. His favorite sports teams included the New England Patriots, the New York Yankees and especially the North Carolina Tar Heels. Jordan will be remembered for his winning smile, and energetic enthusiasm.
• Grateful for having shared his life are his parents: Don and Kathy Hanson of Claremont; his sister, Rebecca Hanson of Claremont; his maternal grandmother Janet Timmermann of Aberdeen; aunts and uncles: Tonette and Tony Voeltz of Sioux Falls; Ray Dean Hanson of Britton; Larry and Sharon Hanson of Claremont; and four cousins: Alyssa Voeltz; Shari (Tim) Rosso, Joey Hanson and Lorrie Hanson; and a "second Mom, Dad, brother and sister" to Jordan, Paul, Margaret, Cody and Amanda Swanson.
• Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Chester and Gunhild Hanson; and an aunt, Gloria Venning.
