Scattered showers and storms will move across portions of the area through the early morning hours, especially east of the James River. Otherwise, partly cloudy skies are expected today with temperatures rising into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. Northwest winds will begin to bring in drier air across the western and central Dakotas.
