Visitors from Germany stay in Groton

• Groton has become an international vacation destination; at least for a group of German tourists. Eight German residents came to Groton this past three weeks for their vacation. In Germany they have a paid vacation that they are required to take. Berry, one of the German men that came, really had a great time here in Groton and is hoping to come again. Berry said, "Everybody is so good natured in South Dakota. I feel less stress here than I do in Germany." Berry works for a healthcare company as a repair man. He fixes heart monitors and other medical devices. This is his fourth year in the United States.
• Doug Raap is the man who brought the Germans back this year. Doug said, "I think Groton is a great place for the Germans to visit because the people here are real and are very kind." He works in Germany for the company Technicon Design where he uses clay
