• Another college now offering a new discounted option is Arizona State University, which this fall will open a new Lake Havasu City campus that will charge students an annual base tuition of $6,000, compared to more than $9,000 at the main campus.
• For freshmen, "there's a set of courses that are being offered, and they all take the same courses," said David Young, director of the campus. "That keeps costs way down."

Planned Parenthood 'disappointed' by ruling

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The head of Planned Parenthood for South Dakota says she is 'extremely disappointed' a federal appeals court upheld a portion of a 2005 abortion law.
• The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that doctors in South Dakota can be required by the state to warn women seeking abortions that they face an increased risk of suicide if they go through with the procedure.
• Sarah Stoesz is the president of Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota.
• She says Tuesday's ruling "represents the greatest intrusion by the government into the patient doctor relationship to date."
• She says there is no scientific evidence that shows a cause and effect relationship between abortion and suicide.

Officials: Road grader likely sparked Myrtle fire

• PRINGLE, S.D. (AP) -- A fire in the Black Hills that has scorched nearly 16 square miles was likely sparked by a U.S. Forest Service road grader, officials said Tuesday.
• A Forest Service special agent determined the most probable cause of the Myrtle fire in western South Dakota was when a grader's metal blade fractured a rock on the road surface and ignited grass on the roadside.
• The Myrtle fire started Thursday and was about 75 percent contained Tuesday.
