Showers and thunderstorms will continue across the region this morning, especially along and east of the James River valley. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible across northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota mainly during the afternoon hours. Hot temperatures will then return to the region late this week and persist through the weekend.
