Woman holds up SD bank, claims she has bomb

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Police say a woman robbed a Sioux Falls bank by claiming she had a bomb.
• Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the woman didn't show any weapon during the holdup Tuesday. She fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
• No injuries were reported. Clemens says there weren't any customers in the bank during the robbery.
• Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Kyle Hoekstra (HOKE'-stra) tells the Sioux Falls Argus Leader (http://argusne.ws/Mw6qU3) the incident is unusual because the robber was

female and she mentioned a bomb.
• Hoekstra says most armed robbers have a gun or claim they have one.

AG to ask judge to set execution date for Moeller

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley plans to ask a judge Wednesday to set the execution date of convicted killer Donald Moeller within 90 to 120 days.
• The U.S. Supreme Court last month refused to hear an appeal of Moeller's conviction, but his 2004 federal lawsuit arguing the state did not follow procedures in setting its execution method is pending.
• Jackley wants a Minnehaha County circuit court to move forward with the warrant of execution on Moeller, who was convicted in the 1990 rape and killing of 9-year-old Becky O'Connell of Sioux Falls.
• He says a warrant may be issued from state court independent of a pending action in federal court.
• The state is suggesting that the court schedule Moeller's execution for the week of Oct. 28 through Nov. 3.

New criminal justice reform effort to be announced

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- State leaders are expected to make a major announcement about criminal justice reform at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
• Gov. Dennis Daugaard, Supreme Court Chief Justice David Gilbertson, Senate Majority Leader Russell Olson and House Speaker Pro Tempore Brian Gosch will announce the new effort in conjunction with the Pew Center on States during the news conference at 3 p.m. at the State Capitol.
• State officials said in March that the state's prison population had hit a record
