Groton students accelerate to get faster

• Season champions are made in the off season. And that's exactly what 38 Groton High School athletes are doing this summer. These students have dedicated their own summer time getting bigger, faster, stronger and being the best athlete they can possibly be.
• They started the first of June and they will be done with Acceleration at the end of July. Every Monday and Wednesday morning from eight to nine Derek Budig comes to the Groton gym. He not only physically conditions the kids but also teaches them how to become better athletes. "I want to see Groton Tigers be the best they can be. The kids gain knowledge from a professional and can build their confidence from this program," says Budig. He works for the YMCA and provides Ac
