The Life of Gregory Freeland

• Services for Gregory Freeland, 60, of Houghton will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 11 at the United Methodist Church, Claremont.  Pastor Nancy Manning will officiate.  Burial will follow in Houghton Cemetery..
• Closed-casket visitation will be held at the church from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.               
• Gregory Allen was born on October 4, 1951 in Britton to Roy Wil

liam & Sarah Jane (Buffington) Freeland and he passed away July 5, 2012. He attended James School and later Hecla High School, graduating in 1969.  Greg continued his education in Rapid City.  He returned to the area and began working for Maurice Olson, helping to drill wells.  He was later employed at Prime Mover, Hortons and 3M. 
• Greg enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, woodworking and welding. He was a constant fixture in the town of Houghton and would lend a helping hand to anyone. Above all else, Greg loved spending time with his, daughter, son, grandchildren and his golden lab Annie.
• Celebrating his life through memories are his children, Robin (Kim) Freeland of Voluntown, CT, Sara Freeland of Houghton, two grandchildren, Braedon Seelhorst (MD)
and Tucker Freeland (CT) and his brothers, John (Shari) Freeland of Houghton and Bill Freeland of Oakes, ND.
• Preceding him in death were his parents.
• Honorary Casketbearers will be his co-workers at 3M.
• Casketbearers will be Troy Freeland, Tyler Freeland, Justin Freeland, Jim Bauer, Terry Riedel, Ed Cook, Tim Olson and Jay Waage.
