City has nearly $2 million, but major work is underway

• The city has almost $2 million in funds available as the city council reviewed the financial report Monday night.
• "This is the best financial report I've ever given you," said Finance Officer Anita Lowary. But she warned the council to not get too excited. Now that the street project has begun on First Street, a project that will cost over $1 million, the money will quickly leave the city coffers.
• Ninth Avenue East between Broadway and North First Street will be wider. The school has donated 7' of the north
