Friendly Fellows and Daisies

• The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H club met on June 24, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in Claremont. The American pledge was led by Dylan Frey and the 4-H pledge was led by Nicole Marzahn. Nineteen members and four cloverbuds answered roll call, which was "My Favorite Hobby."
• The secretary and treasurer's report was read and approved and was closed by Dylan Frey, seconded by Sam Sanderson. Weeding and Watering of the flowers in Claremont was discussed. Those who attended 4H camp gave the club a rundown of all the activities and fun they had. Discussion of past 4H events such as Horse show, Summer spotlight and dog practices followed.
• New business consisted of the Newshound, discussion of the upcoming picnic, and a variety of upcoming 4H events such as the Special Foods Contest , Demonstration Day, and Fashion Revue as well as preparing for the county fair. State fair books were handed out as well as Member Id cards. We also discussed the rocket launch and ice cream social. New business was closed by Nicole Marhzon and was seconded by Hanna Miller.
• The meeting was adjourned by Nicholas Alberts and seconded by Braden Boe. Kassidy Larson did a talk about "The MN Horse Expo".
• The Community rocket launch and ice cream social followed the meeting and was a lot of fun. All rockets launched with a varying degree of success and retrieval. Lunch was served by the Ringgenberg family. The next meeting will be on August 5th at Wylie Park.
