• It's not clear how much North Dakota land will be available to Wyoming ranchers. Medina rancher Jason Schmidt, who serves as president of the North Dakota Stockmen's Association, the state's largest cattle group, said many ranchers are starting to rebuild herds as conditions improve and beef prices rise, so they are using more land.
• He also said that while North Dakota ranchers are in generally good shape with hay reserves and are always willing to help out other ranchers in need, there is concern that drought could hit the state by summer's end.
• "Some find it pretty hard to sell those resources," Schmidt said. "You never know when you might be in need."
• North Dakota Deputy State Veterinarian Beth Carlson said all cattle brought in

Businesses expanding in Vermillion, Mitchell

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Businesses are expanding and creating jobs in Vermillion and Mitchell.
• The Argus Leader newspaper says Chicago-based Navigant Healthcare is expanding in South Dakota through its subsidiary Alleviant that provides physician billing and collection services. It will create 120 jobs in Vermillion. Navigant already employs 100 people in Mitchell and 42 in Plankinton.
• The Daily Republic newspaper reports that AKG Midwest is adding 60,000 square feet of space to its facility in Mitchell. AKG recently added 80 jobs and plans to add another 80 by 2015, bringing the Mitchell workforce to 300. The company makes heating and cooling systems for construction and farm equipment.

Sioux Falls Storm suspend backup quarterback

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The quarterback who led the University of Sioux Falls to two NAIA championships has been suspended from the Sioux Falls Storm indoor football team after being arrested.
• Lorenzo Brown Jr. is accused of sexually exploiting a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a child in his job at the Minnehaha Juvenile Detention Center. He has not yet entered a plea. A telephone listing could not immediately be found for him in Sioux Falls.
• The 24-year-old Brown is a receiver and backup quarterback for the Storm.
