said that as with anything, if it is taken care of, it should work just fine. The robot cleaner has a two-year warranty. The labor savings will offset the cost of the robot and get the water cleaner. It is estimated that a robot cleaner will run from $3,500 and less.

Work on streets around the schools to begin this week

• The street preconstruction meeting was held last Tuesday for the major street reconstruction project. The crew should be moving in on Wednesday or soon thereafter. They will be starting on Ninth Avenue and work their way south. Street Superintendent Terry Herron told the Groton Daily Independent, "People living on First Street between Ninth Avenue and Fourth Avenue need to be monitoring the progress as they will not have access to their property from the street when construction moves into their area."
• Eighteen inches of the street will be dug out and removed. Fabric will be placed

followed by 15 inches of gravel and three inches of asphalt.  The area involved is First Street from 12th Avenue to Fourth Avenue, 11th Avenue, Ninth Avenue and Fifth Avenue from  Broadway to First Street, Seventh Avenue and Fourth Avenue from Broadway to Main Street, and Sixth Avenue from First Street to Main Street.
