SD, MN communities recover from strong storm

• BIG STONE LAKE, S.D. (AP) -- Residents in the Big Stone Lake area are cleaning up and beginning repairs after a storm that brought straight-line winds and at least one tornado.
• KELO-TV reports that the National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in the Cramer's Resort area, and straight-line winds hit Big Stone City and the nearby Minnesota community of Ortonville.
• Sandi Sawchuk was still shaken a day after the storm. She tells KELO that she was outside at the lake when debris began flying and trees started falling. She says

she was lucky not to be injured.
• KDLT-TV reports that downtown businesses suffered the brunt of the damage in Ortonville. Drug store owner Mike Carlson says the storm ripped apart metal on his building's exterior. A jewelry store lost its roof.

Bob Dylan to perform 3 concerts in the Dakotas

• FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Folk rock legend Bob Dylan will be performing three concerts in the Dakotas during his North American tour this summer.
• Dylan is scheduled to play Aug. 17 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, S.D.; Aug. 18 at the Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Aug. 19 at the Civic Center in Fargo, N.D. Tickets for all three concerts go on sale Friday.
• President Barack Obama last month presented the Medal of Freedom to Dylan, whose musical career spans more than five decades. The medal is the nation's highest civilian honor.

Rapid City man claims Dakota Cash lottery jackpot

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota Lottery officials say Kevin Moser of Rapid City has claimed his $217,583 lottery jackpot from the May 2 drawing in the Dakota Cash game.
• Moser bought his lucky ticket at LaGrand Station in Rapid City. The business will receive a bonus of $5,000 for selling the winning ticket.
• Dakota Cash is played only in South Dakota. The jackpot currently sits at $80,000 for the next drawing on Wednesday.
• The odds of winning the game's jackpot are about one in 325,000.
