Richards becomes ordained

• It takes an unique person to hear and then heed the "Calling" when it is sent, for the it means a long and daunting path lies ahead. For Pastor Matt Richards, that path has final reached its destination. Pastor Richards was ordained into the United Methodist Church as a full member this last weekend in Sioux Falls.
• "It has been a long journey for me," Pastor Richards said. "I received my first since of calling when I was 16."
• Pastor Richards was born in Michigan, but he grew up in the Black Hills. His parents still live in Rapid City. He attended and graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2003. He went on to earn a Master's Degree in Divinity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill in 2007.
