Winter wheat forecast for SD changes little

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The government's estimate of winter wheat production in South Dakota has changed little over the month.
• The Agriculture Department now pegs the state's crop at just below 56 million bushels, down 2 percent from May and down 16 percent from last year.
• Nationwide, the winter wheat crop is expected to be just below 1.7 billion bushels, down 1 percent over the month but up 13 percent from 2011.

Carbon monoxide might have killed SD boaters

• PLATTE, S.D. (AP) -- Authorities say carbon monoxide poisoning might have caused the deaths of two people in a cabin boat on the Missouri River in southeast South Dakota.
