High pressure will remain over the area through the morning hours, then will shift off to the east ahead of an approaching surface boundary. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of this boundary, mainly this evening and overnight. There is potential for a few of the storms to become severe across the far southwestern part of the area.
