US Attorney meeting with Oglala Sioux about deaths

• KYLE, S.D. (AP) -- U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson is scheduled to meet Wednesday with members of the Oglala Sioux tribal council and family members of tribal members whose deaths remained unresolved on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
• Oglala Sioux tribal officials have asked Johnson to reopen investigations and prosecutions into the deaths of 39 people dating back to the 1970s who they believe were murdered on or near the reservation.
• Oglala Sioux Law and Order Committee Chairman James "Toby" Big Boy says he encourages family members of those who died to attend the meeting so that they can speak with Johnson.

• The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Little Wound School in Kyle. The public can also attend.

SDSU Extension hosting food entrepreneur workshops

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota State University Extension is hosting local food entrepreneur workshops in Kadoka and Philip this summer.
