SD Air National Guard holding training exercise

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The South Dakota Air National Guard in Sioux Falls is holding a training exercise in Sioux Falls through Sunday.
• The 114th Fighter Wing training allows Guard members to prepare for mobilization for federal service, overseas deployment and the execution of combat missions.
• The Operational Readiness Exercise began Thursday at Joe Foss Field.

Sioux Falls holds greenway grand opening

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Sioux Falls on Friday is holding a grand opening celebration for the first phase of the downtown river greenway.

• The Argus Leader reports (http://argusne.ws/JNqgDh) that the festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the greenway between Sixth and Eighth streets, with the ribbon-cutting to be held on the amphitheater.
• More improvements that include a $430,000 interactive water feature are yet to come.
• Work on the $1.02 million second phase is expected to begin in July. The city plans to use surplus funding from last year's capital improvement projects budget pending
