The Life of Pamela Bahr

• A Celebration of Life for Pamela Kay Bahr, 62, of Groton will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 6th at the United Methodist Church, Groton.  The Rev. Matt Richards will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Groton Union Cemetery.
• Visitation will be held at the church from 4-8 pm on Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
• Pam died June 3, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
• Pamela Kay Rix was born on January 21, 1950 in Aberdeen to Robert Blair "Bob" and Hazel (Holland) Rix.  She was baptized

at the United Methodist Church in Groton on May 8, 1955.  She was confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Groton on March 7, 1965.  Pam attended school in Groton and graduated from Groton High School in 1969.   She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Douglas Barry Bahr on June 14, 1969.  To this union, four boys were born.  Together they made their home on the family farm for several years, before moving into town in 1975.  Pam worked for WheetCo. and later for Golden Living Center, both in Groton.  During this time she was also employed part-time at Ken's Fairway in Groton.  In 2003, she began working for Avera St. Lukes Hospital on the pediatric floor.  She had a great passion for caring for children and developed very special friendships with many co-workers and families of
