• USD completed the transition to Division I during the 2011-2012 school year, during which the women's basketball program had a 23-8 overall record -- 16-2 at home and 7-6 away. Their all-time record going into the 2011-2012 season was 598-456.

partment," she said during a campus news conference.
• Williams was the first women's basketball coach at Rogers State, where she recorded a 97-65 record during five seasons. The Hillcats were 22-12 last year and advanced to the NAIA Final 8 for the first time in school history.
• Williams previously was an assistant and recruiting coordinator at The University of Tulsa and Oklahoma State University. She also served as an assistant coach at the University of Texas-San Antonio from 2000-2001 and a graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
• Williams graduated from Nebraska-Kearney with a master's degree in sports administration in 2002. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in 1998, finishing with degrees in biology and mathematics. She was a four-year basketball letter winner at Nebraska.
