Sioux Falls fireworks fundraising at halfway mark

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A fundraiser to come up with the final $14,000

needed for a July 4 fireworks display this year in Sioux Falls is halfway to its goal.
• The Grand Falls Casino Resort began the fundraiser May 25 by giving its resort club members $10 in free play if they donated $10 to the Jaycees 4th of July Celebration Fund.
• The Argus Leader reports that as of June 3, the fund had nearly $7,200 donated by more than 650 people.
