• The funeral for Kyle Schumacher, 23, of Groton will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 1 at the Conde High School.  The Rev. Elizabeth Johnson will officiate. 
• Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Groton on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.  A prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
• Kyle died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his residence in Groton. 
• Kyle Lee "Shoe" Schumacher was born on May 29, 1988 in Thorton, Colorado to Tom and Penny (Zeck) Schumacher.  He attended Westminster High School in Colorado his freshman and sophomore year and graduated from Conde High School in 2006.  Kyle continued his education at Lake Area Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in Robotics.  He worked at James Valley Telecommunications and later for S & S Lumber. 

He had been working at Poet Biorefining for two years prior to his passing. 
• Kyle enjoyed snowboarding, golf, playing baseball and paintball.  He loved to watch baseball and in earlier years collected baseball cards and hot wheels.  Kyle was also an animal lover and leaves behind his dog and friend, DUI.  He loved travel and adventure,
