• Olson says annual range and pasture rental rates this year have ranged from $11.65 an acre in southwest South Dakota to $61.95 an acre in east-central South Dakota.
• He says rental rates for range and pasture land have increase more than 10 percent from last year.

Crazy Horse begins free weekly programs next week

• CRAZY HORSE, S.D. (AP) -- Crazy Horse Memorial is kicking off a series of

free weekly programs next week featuring Native American groups or individuals.
• The lectures and performances begin at 6 p.m. every Thursday. The programs start June 7 and will last through Aug. 30.
• The first featured lecture is by Lakota author Ed "Eagle Man" McGaa. McGaa has written nine books about tribal history, spiritualism and healing. He will discuss historic warriors.
• Admission is free for people attending the program who bring three cans of food or money for a
