president of the museum's board, says the organization has been looking for a way to expand and offer visitors a better experience. He says there's a long a way to go before the expansion is built because funds will have to be raised.
• The museum has been located in the old Post Office building in Sturgis since 2002.
• The museum collects motorcycles, interprets the history of motorcycle riding, honors people who have made an impact on the sport of motorcycle riding and pays tribute to the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally.

Grants for after-school program awarded in SD

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- Gov. Dennis Daugaard says three grants to support stu

dents outside of school have been awarded.
• The federal grants range from $50,000 to $150,000 a year. They are funded by the state Department of Education to fund 21st Century Community Learning Centers, which are intended to assist students from high-poverty and low-performing schools. The new recipients are: Mobridge-Pollock School District; YMCA of Rapid City, Valley View Elementary and Rapid Valley Elementary; and
