Friendly Fellows and Daisies

• The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H club met on May 6th 2012, at the sub station on Hwy. 37. The club spent time picking up ditches on highway 37. We have a few miles that we pickup twice yearly. After collecting a lot of trash and helping make our country side beautiful, the club members proceeded to the church to hold our meeting.
• The American pledge was led by Trey Wright and the 4-H pledge was led by Johnny Sumption. Present were twenty-two members and three cloverbuds who answered the roll call, "Why I like South Dakota." The secretary's report was closed by Sterling Kappes and was second by Braden Miller. Adopt-a-Highway was discussed.
• New business consisted of discussion on flower planting, weeding and watering and final enrollment. Assistant Leader, Stephan Wright discussed the Newshound. Trey Wright, Brady Weiker, and Braden Miller talked about 4-H Shooting Sports.
• Lunch was served by Sterling Kappes. The next meeting will be our June-July meeting on June 27th at the United Methodist Church. We will hold our annual rocket launch, invite the public and have an ice cream social. All our welcome! The meeting was adjourned by Nicholas Alberts and seconded by Hailey Sumption.
