• Most of the time, children and teenagers would do well to listen to their parents

and elders and learn. But sometimes parents and adults can take a lesson from younger people.
• Recently, teenagers spoke up to tell adults that South Dakota needs to do something about distracted driving. The state is one of only 12 states that have no laws about distracted driving, including texting or using a cellphone while driving.
• The teens were speaking at Kids Speak, a program that gives teens an opportunity to make presentations to
