Ringgenberg also stated that he would like to have Trent Anderson come sometime during the summer and teach the proper rope techniques, such as knot tying, to the Groton Firemen. Anderson is a certified climber with the Aberdeen Fire Department.
• A recent donation of equipment to the Groton Fire Department has been brought into question. It was stated that the equipment is not certified and therefore cant be used by the fire department. The board questioned this and will inspect the equipment, but no one at the meeting knew where the donated equipment was, this will also be checked into.

• The funeral for Merlyn Olson, 98, of Claremont will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 26, at the United Methodist Church, Claremont. The Rev. Sheila Richards will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery under the direction of Paetznick-Garness
