Street south of Third Avenue West.
• City Supervisor Terry Herron came before the council to request the purchase of a pickup for the public works department.  "There is a need for a pickup," Herron said. "We use Jim's (Gerdes) pickup a lot." In addition, the bucket truck has been used to get equipment and supplies with a trailer when a 3/4 ton pickup would have worked. The difference in price between a new one and a used one is very little. The council will discuss it at the next meeting so it can be put on the agenda. In addition, prices will be sought for dust proofing the streets.
• Councilman Eddy Opp attended a code enforcement school  and reported on how other communities act on building condemnation and nuisance property. One option is to have the police department take pictures and then present them to the council where the council will then act on it. One property in Groton will go through that procedure.
