SD man faces 3rd DUI charge after hitting 3 boys

• TEA, S.D. (AP) -- A 30-year-old Sioux Falls man accused of driving drunk and hitting three young boys as they rode their bicycles already has been convicted of drunken driving -- twice.

• Mark Davis is being held in the Minnehaha County Jail for the Sunday night incident on Sundowner Avenue near 85th Street in Tea, S.D. The boys were treated at a local hospital.
• Lincoln County State's Attorney Tom Wollman tells KELO-TV that the three are in good condition. In addition to facing his third drunken driving charge, Davis is charged with three counts of vehicular battery. He faces at least a decade in prison if convicted.
• Witness Tanya Knutson tells KELO that the boys were covered in dirt and crying. Another witness tells KSFY-TV that motorists routinely speed down the 35 mph street.

Suspect in slaying of SD homeless man arraigned

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A homeless man accused of bludgeoning a campmate to death with a shovel has been arraigned in Minnehaha County Court.
