A frontal boundary will move into the central Dakotas late this afternoon. This front will combine with increasing heat and humidity to produce showers and storms over the region this evening. Some of those storms may produce hail and strong winds as they move east across the plains. Meanwhile, it will be hot and windy today with high temperatures climbing toward 90 degrees across most of the area.
