• The party is planned for Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the museum on East Dakota in Pierre.
• Museum director Sonja Johnson says the goal is to have 400 people on hand for the party. Guests will be invited to sign a life-size anniversary card to be presented to Adjutant General Timothy Reisch.

Grant to help oral health for Native Americans

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- Delta Dental of South Dakota has received a $3.3 million grant to improve the oral health and health care of Native Americans.
• The three-year project will train 24 dental hygienists and community health representatives who will focus on coordinating community-based care. Delta Dental will

provide preventive oral health care to American Indian mothers, their children, and American Indian people with diabetes to reduce the incidence of dental disease and in turn, decrease the need for expensive surgeries.
• The Health Care Innovation Award provided grants to 26 entities across the country.
