is holding a search and rescue training exercise in Sioux Falls on Saturday. • The exercise will feature patrol members, search dogs and their trainers from the Brookings area, the South Dakota Air National Guard's Mobile Emergency Operations Center, and the wing's airplanes from across South Dakota. • Lt. Col. Donald Barbalace says the goal is provide participants with a realistic simulation environment in which to develop their mission specialty skills. • The patrol, as with last year's flooding missions, typically works in conjunction with local, state, federal, and tribal governments and private agencies. • Sometimes the patrol assists with special skills such as aerial photography. •
