• Danielson was originally charged with stealing parts and checks while working for Rocket Lube of Spearfish, but a jury acquitted him in 2008. Danielson was then indicted for perjury for allegedly lying when he testified he had replaced transmission parts on a customer's 1950 Studebaker.
• A jury last year found Danielson guilty of perjury, and a judge gave him a suspended sentence and put him on probation for

three years.
• The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that prosecutors presented sufficient evidence to support the perjury conviction.

SD woman sentenced to 35 years for killing husband

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A judge sentenced a South Dakota woman who admitted killing her husband to nearly double the time recommended by prosecutors, calling what she did "cold-blooded murder."
• Connie Hirsch, 49, of Blunt, pleaded guilty in March to first-degree manslaughter in the May 2010 shooting death of her 65-year-old husband, Jerold Hirsch, in a home east of Pierre. In exchange for her plea, prosecutors dropped a murder charge and agreed to seek a prison term of no more than 20 years.
• Judge Mark Barnett, who was not bound by the agreement, on Thursday imposed a harsher penalty of 35 years in prison, KCCR and KGFX radio reported. Bar
