Committee searches for next Dakota State president

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- The state Board of Regents has set up a committee to search for a new Dakota State University president.
• Regent Harvey Jewett of Aberdeen will chair the search committee, which will include three other members of the board. The regents also have appointed a dozen business officials, faculty members, students and others to the search committee.
• The university system is looking for someone to replace Douglas Knowlton, who left Dakota State in February to take a job in Minnesota's higher education system.
• David Borofsky is serving as interim president at Dakota State until a permanent president is appointed for the university in Madison.


State Parks offering free admission through Sunday

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota parks officials are hoping you'll go out and catch a fish this weekend.
• As part of the State Parks Open House weekend, all South Dakota state parks are offering free admission through Sunday. The fishing license requirement also will be waived
