SD teams still have hope for NAIA World Series

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The two South Dakota teams battling for a spot in the NAIA World Series both are one loss away from going home.
• Mount Marty College and Dakota State University are playing in the double-elimination NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round. The first games were Thursday.
• Mount Marty beat York College 8-7 but then lost to Oklahoma City University 12-3. Dakota State played only one game, losing to Tabor College 9-7.
• The two South Dakota teams are back in action Friday. Mount Marty is playing in

the bracket in Oklahoma City, and Dakota State is in the bracket in Hillsboro, Kan. Bracket winners go on to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, later this month.
