Aberdeen podiatrist to repay Medicare $242,000

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- An Aberdeen foot care doctor accused of filing fraudulent paperwork has been ordered to repay nearly $242,000 to Medicare.
• U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says podiatrist Todd Monroe falsified patients' medical records and improperly billed Medicare for surgical procedures.
• Monroe in August 2010 pleaded guilty to making false statements.


Spearfish getting another high school next year

• SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) -- The city of Spearfish is getting another high school.
• Black Hills Christian Academy is adding high school courses to its established elementary school program. The nonprofit, nondenominational Christian school has 108 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. There will be about a dozen students in grades 9-12 next year. Existing facilities will be used.
