Governor welcomes TCF Bank operations center

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Gov. Dennis Daugaard was in Sioux Falls on Monday to attend the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the TCF Bank operations center.
• The center adds 200 new jobs to the community.
• TCF Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wayzata-Minn.-based TCF Financial Corp., which provides retail and commercial banking services. The

company has more than 430 branches in Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Arizona and South Dakota.
• Daugaard says TCF's decision to invest in South Dakota is testament to the state's growing financial services industry.

AG responds to SD death row inmate's appeal

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reject a death row inmate's plea to overturn his conviction for raping and killing a Sioux Falls girl 22 years ago.
• Donald Moeller last month petitioned the court to overturn his conviction based on what he described as incomplete jury instructions. Moeller maintains that the jury that sentenced him to death for the 1990 rape and murder of 9-year-old Becky
