SD colleges hold graduation ceremonies Saturday

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Colleges and universities across the state are holding their commencement exercises Saturday.
• At South Dakota State University, nearly 1,600 graduates will receive their diploma. U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Laurie Fulton, a former Brookings resident and SDSU student, will give the commencement address. U.S. Rep. Kristi Noem, who will receive her Bachelor of Science degree in political science, is speaking on behalf of the students.
• Also on Saturday, Rodney R. Parry, the former dean of the University of South

Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, is delivering the keynote address at USD's graduation, where more than 1,300 students are scheduled to graduate.
• Approximately 250 students will earn their diplomas from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City and another 500 students from Black Hills State University.
