Woman pleads guilty to embezzling from SD tribe

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- An Eagle Butte woman has pleaded guilty in federal court to embezzling from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Telephone Authority.
• Twenty-four-year-old Miranda Walters was accused of stealing more than $3,000.
• U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Walters faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced July 17.

Plans for third Walmart in Sioux Falls hit snag

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The Sioux Falls City Council has rejected a zoning change that would have paved the way for a third Walmart store in South Dakota's largest city.
