• As Head Boy's Basketball Coach, Kjellsen also presented the Boy's Basketball awards. Boy's Basketball team awards were presented to Eric May, Most Valuable Defensive Player; Brandon Stanley, Hustler Award; Jamie Jorgensen, Most Valuable Offensive Player and Reilly Ell, Most Improved. Ell and Jorgensen were also named to the All-Conference Team and Jorgensen was named to the Aberdeen American News All-Area Team.
• New Head Girls Basketball Coach Shaun Wanner talked about the young group of girls that played this year. There was only one senior on the team and no juniors, this left team made up by sophomores and freshman.
• "When I took the girl's team, (after coaching boys) I told the girls that I had two rules," Wanner said. "No crying and no drama."
• Girl's Basketball team awards were presented to Courtney Kurtz, Most Valuable Offensive Player and Best Free-Throw Percentage; Kylie Hawkins, Best Field Goal Percentage; Halle Dohman, Most Improved; and Camille Sippel, Most Rebounds and Most Valuable Defensive Player.
