MN company closing 2 offices in South Dakota

• ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- A Minneapolis-based company that does employment screening for other businesses is closing two offices in South Dakota by the end of the year.
• Verifications Inc. says the closings in Aberdeen and Mitchell are due to restructuring and will affect about 140 workers. The jobs will move to sites in Arizona, India and the Philippines.

• The Verifications office in Watertown will remain open.


Police ID victim, suspect in Rapid City stabbing

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- Rapid City police have identified the victim and suspect in a fatal stabbing in a Walmart parking lot.
• Thirty-year-old Morgan Myers of Rapid City died after being stabbed
